Drew Bellerby turns Driver

Any rallycross fans will be familiar with the name Bellerby . Firstly with the legendary Procters Motorsport Driver Dave Bellerby who has held a number of Championship titles throughout his rallycross career piloting cars such as a Vauxhall Nova, Lotus Exige and in more recent years a Suzuki Swift Sport, taking the Swift Sport Championship title in both 2010 & 2011.

He can also be spotted in the passenger seat on rally stages as far afield as Barbados co-driving for Kevin Procter in a WRC Subaru Impreza where they have also enjoyed countless wins.

Eldest Daughter, Paige Bellerby started her rallycross career in a classic Mini and proved the talent had not skipped a generation taking the title of MSA Junior Rallycross Champion in her first season at only 14 years of age. Working her way up through the ranks from Junior Swift to Swift Sport in 2012, the Northallerton Lass was not intimidated at only sixteen and mixing it with the men, taking fourth at Pembrey and only narrowly missing a step on the podium.

Now comes the turn of youngest daughter Drew Bellerby, Although not the sort of paddock Drew is most accustomed to, she no stranger to Rallycross where she has spent many years cheering on her father and sister and helping in the Swift Camp.

With James ‘JJ’ Ross committed elsewhere for Round 3 of the MSA Junior Swift Championship, Drew jumped at the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the LHMC Academy Car for Knockhill, 12th May.
