Swift Rallycross is delighted to confirm that, for the 2026 season, two drivers from within its championships will be awarded outstanding prize test opportunities with world-leading rallycross team OlsbergsMSE (OMSE).
The expanded 2026 programme will see one driver from the Swift Sport Rallycross Championship and one driver from the Motorsport UK Junior Rallycross Championship each earn a prize drive, creating an exciting new incentive across both categories.
The prize concept was introduced for 2025 where Swift Rallycross Champion Matt Cake secured the opportunity to test OMSE’s 310bhp, four-wheel-drive Supercar Lites machine following his title-winning season.
For 2026, that opportunity grows even further. A standout driver from the Swift Sport Rallycross Championship will win a test in an FC2 rallycross car — a mid-engined, 550bhp, four-wheel-drive machine with paddle-shift transmission, designed to offer performance comparable to a traditional rallycross Supercar and currently competing at top level in Europe and America.
Alongside that, one driver from the Motorsport UK Junior Rallycross Championship will be awarded a prize test in OMSE’s renowned Supercar Lites car, giving one of the UK’s most promising young talents a valuable opportunity to experience the next step on the rallycross ladder.

The Motorsport UK Junior Rallycross Championship has long been recognised as an important proving ground for young drivers aged 14 to 17, helping to develop talent at the very start of their rallycross journey. Over the years, the championship has played a role in the progression of drivers including World Rallycross Driver Kevin Hansen, and Patrick O’Donovan, underlining its reputation as a genuine pathway within the sport.
OMSE remains one of the most respected names in international rallycross, with title-winning success across European, World and American competition, as well as a long-standing reputation for building cars and creating opportunities for future stars of the sport.
The two prize test opportunities will be awarded to the drivers who make the strongest impression throughout the 2026 season, with the final decision made by an experienced judging panel. That panel includes representatives from the Swift Rallycross organisation, rallycross expert Hal Ridge, 5 Nations BRX Marketing and Communications Manager Philippa Neilson, Championship Driving Standards Advisor Hans Heuvelmans, and Championship Scrutineer Nigel Jones.
Sarah Watson, co-creator of The Swift Rallycross Championships, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to continue this prize test drive opportunity for 2026 and even more excited to expand it across both our Swift and Junior championships. Over the years, we’ve seen so many drivers use these championships to build confidence, develop their racecraft and move forward into new opportunities within the sport. Supporting that journey is a huge part of what Swift Rallycross is all about. We want our drivers to enjoy every moment of competing with us, while also knowing there are meaningful opportunities ahead for those who stand out. We’re incredibly grateful to OMSE and the Eriksson family for continuing to support this vision, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the season unfolds before selecting our two prize winners with the panel.”
